My name is Jill Thompson. I am a small business owner. I am an industrial contractor. I have been married for 28 years and have one daughter who is 24 years old.
I think I am addicted to lifelong learning. I graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1991. My maiden name is Ward. I loved school but school did not love me. I have not yet received my degree yet because I haven't learned it all. Hopefully before I die, I will commit to one area and graduate.
My firsthand experiences with pressing issues like business, crime, transgender rights, immigration, socialism, Israel, Arabic, healthcare, cost of living, racism, and abortion will guide my votes.
The first time I was called a Nazi was in second grade by Corey B. because my mother had a Karmann Ghia which sparked my interest in learning German. This was enough for Corey to think I was a Nazi. My point is sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Contact me at politicaljill@gmail.com and we can hash out any misunderstanding.
I first became interested in politics when I read Marx, Engels, and 1984 in eighth grade. By tenth grade, I joined the Young Republicans at CCHS, and by age 18, I understood that government control was a lie; I was on Arbat Street in Moscow, actually eating McDonald's, on March 18, 1991, when the vote to dismantle the USSR was taking place in the Square just a few blocks away from me.
My family lore was that the John F. Kennedy team forcefully propositioned my grandfather to take a "guaranteed" US Senate seat in Iowa, and my grandfather replied, "I will not be anyone's patsy." Needless to say, the JFK team lowkey ruined my Grandpa Bob's life after he turned them down in all their glory. I am who I am because of him.
